I’ve had a passion for art all my life particularly drawing. I discovered at a very young age that I had a knack for doodling, a trait I suppose I inherited from my Dad. I’ve dedicated most of my life to raising 4 wonderful children. Now I’m at the point in my life where I’m able to pursue a career in art. Thanks to the support of my loving husband and fellow artist Bobby Goldsmith.
Throughout the years I have delved into all types of mediums and always gravitated back to my first love “Drawing”. Born and raised on the prairies of Oklahoma it is only natural that the general theme of my art work is wildlife. I’ve had an obsession with birds since my youth, and pencil is the perfect medium for portraying them as accurately as possible.
Through my still life drawings, I try to bring the viewer into a vintage world where nature comes to play.
“I just want to make people smile”
My drawings are created using sanded paper, pastel pencils, sticks and panpastels. No fixatives are used this vulnerability adds to the presence of each piece. Artwork is Framed using anti-glare glass, archival matts and simple neutral wood gallery style frames.
Now living in Perkinston Mississippi, my husband and I travel the country participating in juried fine art shows.
